Play the best IO games online in modd.io

What is modd.io?

At modd.io, you can play the best browser online multiplayer games (also known as IO games) whether it's a zombie survival game, a snake game, or a battle royale. Also, you can make your own IO games using our sandbox tool. It's easy and free to use. No download or installation is required.

How to make an IO game?

First, you need to have a good game idea! If you don't have an idea yet, then try being inspired first. The best way is by playing other games in modd.io such as braains.io, krew.io, or area 51 stormers. Also, try other IO games in our friend's site iogames.space. Games like agar.io, and slither.io, and moomoo.io are all great games, and it should help you get inspired and help you to make your own original game. Once you have a solid game idea, learn how to use our sandbox by watching our tutorial videos. Also, try making a simple IO game such as death match or cell eater. Looking at existing template's script will also help. Once you're familiar with our sandbox, use it to bring your game idea into reality!

What makes a good IO game?

Once you familiarized yourself with our tools, then consider these rules below. I think it'll increase your chance of making a successful IO game:

  1. Make players understand the goal of the game within 10 seconds of joining the game.
  2. Make players feel that they're getting closer to the goal within the first 20 seconds of gameplay
  3. Both #1 and #2 should occur whether there's 1 player, or 50 players.
  4. Give players sense of pride as they achieve greater points. This will prevent them from leaving the game, and also encourage other players to keep on playing to attain that status
